It's winter holiday time and we wish you all the best for a joyous holiday season! Whatever you celebrate, wherever you are, we hope that your wishes are fulfilled and that 2024 is a year of great happiness.

It's cold sometimes. We're in San Diego where the weather can vary from chilly to short sleeve warm and seems especially noticeable during the December holiday season. This is when it's time to think about those we love and all that's good in the world, plan a party and decorate the house. We can help you with that house right now with some nice choices we have in the store. 

First, meet the Hippie Santa Claus. He's been helping us here for years and will point you in the right direction.

Candy canes, gaily colored lights, a pretty table, gingerbread houses and holiday candies all help to set the stage. Let's take a closer look.

Food, one of the greatest ways of preparing the house for a Merry Christmas or a Happy Chanukah or for whatever event we have. Our miniature food designers create more varieties and appealing foods than you will ever be able to obtain in the market across the street. Virtually any type of food is available from a cup of tea to a magnificently decorated turkey, and everything in between. 

One of our favorite food designers has recently come back after a three-year absence. The food is nothing less than sensational. Notice the detail in the cantaloupe and peas below. Where could you find a juicier melon or so many perfectly shelled peas in a bowl?

Hello December!

Dear Friends,

As December's bright lights welcome in the winter celebrations we wish to you and yours a most joyful holiday season. May our cold snap add an additional sparkle to things. No snow for most of us but plenty of holiday favorites to add happiness this time of year. Come, take a look.

There are Christmas ornaments and a variety of holiday servingware and of course, food. Beautiful Chanukah dishes and menorahs and other goods of that holiday are also in stock. As you enter the shop and look to your right you'll see glass cabinets filled with all kinds of holiday gear such as decorative snowmen, a bear dressed as Santa, an array of Christmas decorated pastries, holiday dishes and plants. If it's not elsewhere in the store you'll find it here. These are super-little finds.

Chanukah Happenings!

With special days come special foods. Our food selection carries everything from succulent looking roast turkey to honey baked ham and an array of cold cuts fit to challenge any from your own favorite deli. Appetizers and side dishes are abundant. Take your pick from quiche, clams on the half shell, shiny black olives, fruits and vegetables and bread and rolls. Beverages are plentiful. And, just in case you are not decorating for the December holidays but have another special event, we have a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake.

Hello January 2023!

It's funny how these things happen. One minute we are preparing to end the old year on a good note and the next thing you know, the New Year is upon us! This might be a fine time to add a bit of this and that to your miniature project or perhaps to start another. Either way, we would be happy to help you out and here are some basics to get you started.

 

Wallpaper is great for freshening up or repurposing a room.

Table and house decor -- vases, statues.

Bird houses add a cute flair to any yard.

Flowers add happiness everywhere.
